5 SIMPLE WAYS TO RE-ENERGIZE AT WORK

Experiencing an unusually long day at work? Feeling the mid-week blues? Try taking 5 simple steps that can help re-energize and cheer you up.

1. Stay hydrated  Make your own flavored water and keep it in the refrigerator for a quick pick me up.

Try adding any of these combinations to a large ice cold glass of water, or try something on your own, and let the water infuse for 10 minutes before sipping.

  • Orange Strawberry
  • Cucumber Mint
  • Lemon Mint
  • Blueberry Mango
  • Strawberry Cucumber Orange
  • Rosewater Strawberry
  • Ginger Lemon (great when you have a cold)

2. Flowers. Never underestimate the power of flowers. Studies have shown that the presence of flowers can change a person's mood almost instantly.

3. Photos  Remember the good times! Enhance and display those memorable moments by framing them using matting, scotch tape and a few embellishments.

4. Spa Box  A small box nearby full of teas, meditation tools and aromatherapy goodies can easily slow things down or revitalize you.
Try a dab of essential oil on your wrists, lavender to calm the nerves or lemon to lift your mood.

    1. Just added a few combos to the blog. I don't do anything fancy. I fill up a mason jar with approx 1c. worth of fruits and/or veggies. Fill with water, leaving about an inch of room. Let everything infuse, then add some ice cubes and drink up. The goodies in the jar can be used all day. It makes sipping on water much more enjoyable. Also, I NEVER purchase mason jars, I reuse all my pasta sauce and almond butter jars and ask friends to save theirs since they usually don't keep them.

  4. I, too, love the idea of the flavored water. I work somewhere where there is just one water cooler and often bring soda because of it. Your jars of water look gorgeous though! Like utterly delicious. thanks for the tips!

    1. My office has vending machines full of sodas, coffee machines everywhere and only 1 water cooler nearby. So, what I do is make 2 jars for work and place them in a small cooler with ice packs to place under my desk. When I'm done with one and I know I'll be around the cooler, I wing by and fill up. It's a hassle, but I know my body feels better without the other stuff.
Let me know if you try flavored water and what your solution was.
